BRISBANE CLASSES
FUNCTIONAL PILATES CLASS
Functional Pilates aims to help you improve your movement function to whatever level you require for your personal activities.
Irrespective of age, fitness level, injury or movement abilities, the aim of this class is to help you achieve effective movement in a safe, controlled environment. That will benefit you not only as a workout but as you function in daily life.
This mat based class provides focused and concentrated clinical Pilates based movements using resistance based training using body weight and a variety of equipment including hand weights bands, plus other traditional Pilates equipment.
Experienced instructor tuition will guide you through every exercise, offering plenty of modifications to suit your fitness and energy levels, coupled with modern movement education.
Regular attendance will allow you to identify patterns and blind spots creating a better body connectivity. Best of all your deep core strength will improve without defaulting to crunches and Kegels. Instead whole body exercises will redirect your body back to optimal function and inevitably better health without depletion and overwhelm.
All genders welcome. Suitable for postnatal, perimenopause, menopause (as long as you have medical clearance to exercise).

Motherhood bliss… we hear about it, get lulled into expecting it. But post birth you may have discovered another side that is often not discussed…including pelvic floor concerns, Diastasis Recti, back ache, never ending fatigue and overwhelm about when and how you should return to movement, or how the heck you will ever fit exercise into your 24/7 schedule.

hiit class
A HIIT workout stands for higher intensity interval training, it can also be called Circuit, Tabata (and is more commonly know as the F45 style of working out).
Unfortunately too often the focus is on the “intensity” instead of the “interval”, the latter being important as rest and recovery during the workout is essential. Otherwise your workout will leave you injured, exhausted or limping around for the next few days…making it very hard to look after you, your family and at worse another session may not even occur !
For women, mothers and as we age the "all or nothing" approach to fitness is outdated. Results come from consistency NOT depletion or the "no pain no gain" mentality.
