Motherhood bliss… we hear about it, get lulled into expecting it. But post birth you may have discovered another side that is often not discussed…including pelvic floor concerns, Diastasis Recti, back ache, never ending fatigue and overwhelm about when and how you should return to movement, or how the heck you will ever fit exercise into your 24/7 schedule.

Suitable for all fitness levels, with a fun mix of low and high impact options as we incorporate classic moves like the Grapevine, Easy Walk, Side Shuffle and OH YEAH we can even bring back Step aerobics if you are keen !
    • Baby Showers : A unique, mindful, and fun activity that’s gentle yet effective for all ages and stages of motherhood.
    • Mothers' Groups: Focus on postnatal recovery, total core strength, and whole-body stability in a supportive setting in the comfort of your home or I will find you a venue.

Mat-Based & Equipment-Enhanced: All classes use motivating exercise to music combined with clinical Pilates-based movements, low impact exercises and resistance training. We use body weight, resistance bands, hand weights, and other traditional tools to challenge and support the body.

What to Expect

With over 20 years group exercise experience, I will guide you through every exercise, offering abundant modifications to suit all fitness and energy levels. You will also gain modern movement education, discover optimal breath work, and work towards improving deep core strength without relying on relentless crunches or burpees ! Instead, we use mindful whole-body exercises to restore optimal function while most importantly having fun.

All genders are welcome, my private sessions are highly suitable for those who want to nourish their hormones (from pregnancy to perimenopause), are experiencing joint pain, stress or have had a long hiatus from exercise (suitable for anyone with medical clearance to move).

hiit class

A HIIT workout stands for higher intensity interval training, it can also be called Circuit, Tabata (and is more commonly know as the F45 style of working out).

Unfortunately too often the focus is on the “intensity” instead of the “interval”, the latter being important as rest and recovery during the workout is essential. Otherwise your workout will leave you injured, exhausted or limping around for the next few days…making it very hard to look after you, your family and at worse another session may not even occur !

For women, mothers and as we age the "all or nothing" approach to fitness is outdated. Results come from consistency NOT depletion or the "no pain no gain" mentality.  You can read more about this here and also discover why too much high intensity exercise can actually inhibit fat loss, and how you can still results without a near death experience !

FUNCTIONAL PILATES CLASS

Functional Pilates aims to help you improve your movement function to whatever level you require for your personal activities.

Irrespective of age, fitness level, injury or movement abilities, the aim of this class is to help you achieve effective movement in a safe, controlled environment. That will benefit you not only as a workout but as you function in daily life.

This mat based class provides focused and concentrated clinical Pilates based movements using resistance based training using body weight and a variety of equipment including hand weights bands, plus other traditional Pilates equipment.

Experienced instructor tuition will guide you through every exercise, offering plenty of modifications to suit your fitness and energy levels, coupled with modern movement education.

Regular attendance will allow you to identify patterns and blind spots creating a better body connectivity. Best of all your deep core strength will improve without defaulting to crunches and Kegels. Instead whole body exercises will redirect your body back to optimal function and inevitably better health without depletion and overwhelm.
