In case we haven’t met …

I’m Dahlas – founder of BodyFabulous Fitness and creator of BFABMETHOD™. I’m absolutely delighted to join the WellFemme Cheer Squad, and to be preferred exercise specialist provider.

For more than 20 years I’ve specialised exclusively in women’s fitness – with advanced certifications in pregnancy/ postnatal perimenopause and menopause coaching (Burrell Education / Menostrength) plus Functional Mat Pilates (clinically trained by Women’s Health Physiotherapists). I love supporting women from pregnancy and postpartum through to pelvic floor recovery, strength training and perimenopause.

Why I created my BFABMETHOD™

I created my BFABMETHOD™ because I was tired of seeing too many women trying to navigate changing bodies with generic fitness advice that simply didn’t reflect female physiology.

Women are often left piecing together disconnected workouts, following cookie cutter fitness advice or repeating approaches that no longer address their current life changes and physiology- especially hormones

My BFABMETHOD™ offers a roadmap, so you have a clearer place to start and a way to keep progressing (rather than starting over) as your needs change during all stages of womanhood including pregnancy, postpartum, pelvic floor and core changes, perimenopause and beyond

What mAKES MY BFABMETHOD™ DIFFERENT ?

Is that I challenge…

  • The assumption that the core means abs alone.
  • Treating Kegels, crunches or abdominal bracing as universal answers.
  • The idea that cardio, resistance training, Pilates and mobility must exist in separate fitness worlds.
  • One-size-fits-all fitness advice that overlooks women’s changing circumstances.
  • The expectation that a woman must already be fit, confident or symptom-free before she can begin.

Because I have spent over two decades refining how different training methods ALL work together for our unique female physiology — and most importantly how to adapt them to the woman in front of me.

Today, every service I offer – from private 1:1 coaching (in person & telehealth / Zoom), group classes to online programs – is built around the same evidence-based method, helping women understand not just what to do, but exactly WHY they’re doing it.

If you’ve ever felt confused about exercise during pregnancy, after having babies, while managing pelvic floor symptoms or as your hormones change in midlife, I’d love to help – let’s chat here

It’s time to Stop second guessing

What drives me most is seeing women stop second-guessing every workout and start trusting their fabulous female physiology. Because when you understand how breathing, movement, strength, recovery and hormones ALL work together, exercise becomes a way to connect better to your body – rather than just a tool to change it.

One practical tip for women in perimenopause

Resistance training is one of the most evidence-supported tools for managing hormonal shifts – supporting bone density, lean muscle retention and metabolic function as estrogen declines.

BUT how you manage intra-abdominal pressure and breathe through resistance-based training matters as much as the training itself.

Did you know…

Research* shows that whole-body movements like squats and lunges, when done optimally, can activate the pelvic floor and deep core up to 56% more than an isolated Kegel. *Crawford et al. (2016, AJOG)

When you train the whole core system – from shoulders to hips – function returns, and a stronger, flatter belly is simply the byproduct.

Sadly most exercise programs never address this. That’s exactly where foundations make all the difference – and why I always say “your core is just the beginning!“
