So exactly what is a Certified Pregnancy Trainer ?
A certified pregnancy and post natal trainer or coach is a fitness professional who has additional certifications and experience working specifically with pre and post natal women.
Why is this important ?
Consulting with a certified trainer who specializes in pregnancy and post natal exercise is highly advisable, especially if you are relatively new to exercise, have a history of injury, a complicated birth, and if want to have a program customized for your pregnancy and recovery.
- At least 85% of women will have a baby in their lives
- Post baby – all women are postpartum FOREVER so specialised knowledge is required.
- More than 8/10 women are not receiving the optimal support and coaching from their trainer as they do not have this area of expertise
- The majority of information available for pregnant and postpartum women is outdated and harmful.

Please consider this before you jump onto You Tube or Social Media and commence following any kind of exercises labelled “suitable for pregnancy or post pregnancy.” As a fully certified pregnancy and postpartum trainer who has been in the industry for over 20 years, I am committed to staying up to date with the most current and safe exercise methods. Also if there is something I am not sure of I will always refer you to a recommended Women’s Healthy Physio or medical practitioner.
